Everyone must have access to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round.
By 2050, the world’s population will have increased to at least nine billion people. This means that food production must increase, in such a way that it strengthens ecosystems. It also means that the food supply must be climate adaptive, because monoculture is too vulnerable to all kinds of weather extremes.

Ecovillage Boekel has a food garden, surrounded by a food forest.
The food we get from our 0.7 ha climate-adaptive food garden is distributed free of charge to the residents.

What we would still like to set up is a sustainable fish farm (#SDG14). The Head of Seas of Greenpeace told us this could decrease the over fishing of the oceans.
